Boat Rally to Day’s Gutter – Open To All Shaggers:

A few Gold Coast shaggers met at Dublin Docks for Christmas drinks and dinner on 17th December and we had a good turn up. The discussion of going to Day’s Gutter for another boat rally was discussed. I have met with experienced sailors, and it is decided that we could leave between 27th January and approximately 4th-5th February. The Spring tides are 2.6 on 31st January and 2.7 Sunday and Monday 2nd February. We need to go on these spring tides to get certain sail boats in Rainbow Canal.

29/1/2026 – Meet at South Stradbroke
30/1/2026 – Cruise Canaipa Passage.RQ
31/1/2026 – Anchor at Myora ready to get the high tide next morning. Head into Rainbow Canal and towards Day’s Gutter (tide 2.61). We would stay in Day’s Gutter for 2 nights minimum.
2/2/2026 – head out on the high tide at approx 9.20am (tide 2.7). We are then hoping to head back to Dunich for lunch or dinner that night. 
3/2/2026 – Canaipa Passage for BBQ for dinner
4/2/2026 – back to South Stradbroke for lunch or dinner at Tipplers. This is a proposed plan and can be changed. I have to also contact Little Ships Club and Canaipa RQ.
