SICYC and its ‘Shaggers’ are a very social breed, while some like to call them events, we call them anything we like from Sundowners, Rendezvous and get togethers.
As a SICYC member you’ll be kept informed and invited to a myriad of fun time activities, year round.
Not a member? Join now now to enjoy these events.
No matter where you are, call out to other ‘Shaggers’ around your anchorage on VHF 72 an hour or so before sunset. Organise a meetup on your boat, or often members just meet on the nearest shoreline. This is Sundowners, Shaggers style.
Many of our meetings are on land, and many of our members don’t have a boat, so all members are most welcome to join in the fun and get together with like-minded people.
We have meet-ups all around the world. So if you are in any of these localities where there is a Shasgger, put on your blue SICYC Member shirt and come and join in.
Not a member yet? Come along anyway and meet a few Shaggers. You’re sure to want to join after you experience the fun we’re always having.
It takes more than deep pockets to get behind SICYC. These valued supporters have been there for us too. Help them when you can.
Shag Islet is situated in the Gloucester Passage in the Whitsunday Region in North Queensland, Australia (20 03.8 S ... 148 26.5 E). It is a small, rocky islet with a beach which is exposed on the southern end on a falling tide.
There is nothing on the islet except at the annual SICYC Rendezvous when hundreds of "Vice Commodores" gather on the last week end in August each year. MAP
